Building a Brighter Future
ABOUT US
Project Rhotia is an after school computer program that helps reduce secondary school dropout rates by empowering and motivating students to succeed in their education. The program strives to teach students computer skills in a structured computer classroom environment, and expands their knowledge of the world through use of the Internet.
The program provides opportunities for both girls and boys. Over half of the students are unable to continue their education after primary school due to various challenges. Girls face even harder challenges in this community and struggle to finish school due to social pressures.
Project Rhotia is acknowledged as an accredited program through Tanzania's Vocational Educational Training Authority since 2012.
